Pic 2: The River of Danube is the second longest river in Europe. It is the only major European river to flow from west to east. It rises in Germany in the Black Forest as two smaller rivers called Brigach and Breg, which join in Donaueschingen and are called Donau henceforth, flowing south-east for a distance of about 2850 km (1770 miles), to the Black Sea in Romania where the Danube Delta is.
The Danube is an important international waterway. It flows through nine countries (Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Ukraine), with tributary rivers in seven other countries. It flows through the following large cities:

The Danube is mentioned in the title of a famous waltz by Austrian composer Johann Strauss, An der schönen, blauen Donau (By the Beautiful Blue Danube).

Well, after walking around outside their house, Annerose bring me to visit her whole house from the bottom to the top floor, it is a 3 storey house also... hhhmm, ppl in Germany likes to live in 3 storey house i think... hehehee, is a very nice house that they build themselves when they just got married 36 yrs ago... They have the land and the foundation of the house, the rest of the form, rooms, walls are build by themselves.... this is German ppl... they like to build house themselves... every typical German's aim is to build their own house.

That day we stayed in their house fellowshipping until 10pm then Johannes drive us home, on the way home, the sky was full of stars.... so beautiful.. When we reach home, suddenly Dl and Johannes plan to go to the top of the hill in Albstadt to look at the whole Albstadt so we went out again, had 2 mins drive up to the hill and had a night and dark walk for about 10mins up to the tower and climb the stairs in the tower to get up to the top of the tower....
Wow, beautiful scenery, with strong cold wind blowing our hair... We are at the top of Albstadt and we can see the whole Albstadt but too bad my camera can't take the pic up here because the view are too far and my camera can't focus....

Mama always said papa is a man without peace because he just can't sit still and have to work eventhough he had backache. He even helped his daughter, Beate to shift house and to renovate Beate's house with his backache... he is a hard man... hehehhee

Pic 19: Casual nut and the plant.
Well, we stayed in the hospital for another 1 1/2 hours before we travel back to Albstadt, another 1 hour+
On the way mama stopped and mama and dl went out to pluck some sunflowers back... It is raining quite heavy that time....

Pic 14: Dl bought a McChicken for me to try... he is eating it coz im eating my Sundays so i ate another half of the McChicken... delicious, hehhee
Pic 15: This is a 2nd class secondary school. It is Beate's school last time. They have 1st class school for all the smart ones, 2nd class for students that is not that smart and 3rd class for really bad students.
Pic 16: This is Dl's church.
Pic 17: Sunset in Germany at 8.30pm.
Pic 18: Part of the staircase next to this big house that we need to climb up and down whenever we need to go to the town from dl's house... good exercise for me.
Pic 19: Oh, this is a DISH WASHER in Johannes' kitchen, never seen this in Malaysia. So ppl in Germany are not afraid to invite ppl to their house for meals because they don't need to wash the plates themselves after any meals... is so easy...
Pic 1: Sunflowers' plantation in Slovakia.
Pic 2: Sunflower
After going out from the land of Slovakia is the land of Austria so we visited the main city of Austria, Vienna. It is a tourist city...
Pic 3: Dl and Marilyn with the Fiaker, Vienna's famous horse-drawn.Pic 4: St. Stephen's Cathedral - Stephansdom, one of Vienna’s most famous sights. St. Stephen's Cathedral defines the city centre and has been the heart of Vienna for centuries. It is one of the most famous Viennese sights and was built in 1147 AD. For a long time it was uncontested as highest building in Europe measuring almost 137 m.
Pic 5: Once a coal market, this pedestrian street leads to Hofburg. It is home to some of the most exclusive shops in Vienna, including the showroom of Thonet, whose shapely, black chairs, were created in the early 20th century and are pinnacles of Viennese design. A famous patisserie, Demel Konditorei, was founded in the late 18th century and is one of the city’s most famous cafes.
Pic 6: Renaissance Building.
Pic 7: Starbucks at Vienna, Austria.
Pic 8: This is The Spanish Riding School. The Spanish Riding School in Vienna is the only institution in the world which has practiced for over 430 years and continues to cultivate classical equitation in the Renaissance tradition of the haute école. The objective of classical equitation is to study the way the horse naturally moves and to cultivate the highest levels of haute école elegance the horse is capable of through systematic training.
The result creates an unparalleled harmony between rider and horse, as only Vienna's Spanish Riding School achieves. It's name was derived from the fact that the horses were of Spanish origin. The Lipizzaner is regarded to be the oldest classic horse race in Europe. The horses have been breed in Lipizza in Slovenia. Todoy, there is a study in Piber, close to Graz. Young Lipizzaner are black and only turn white when reaching maturity. They need to undergo elaborate training before they are able to perform their prancing Renaissance ballet to the sound of classical music.Pic 9: Statue of Kaiser Franz 1.
Pic 10: Hofburg Imperial Palace is a palace which has housed some of the most powerful people in Austrian history.
Pic 11: The City Hall is one of the most splendid amongst the numerous monumental buildings along Vienna's. Designed by Friedrich Schmidt (1825-1891), it was erected between 1872 and 1883. The architecture of the Ringstraße is dominated by historicism. In Historicism various stylistic elements of the past were combined into a style in its own right. Friedrich Schmidt however orientated himself just on one particular epoch. The City Hall was built in gothical style, with a tower similar to gothic cathedrals. The gothic era saw the growth of the cities and the emergence of an urban burgeoisie.
Today the City Hall is the head office of Vienna's municipal administration. More than 2000 people work in the building. Visitors are stunned by the magnificent appointments of the state rooms, which frequently provide an atmospheric backdrop to various events such as press conferences, concerts or balls.
Pic 12: St. Peter's Church. The Peterskirche was built in 792 and is together with the Ruprechtskiche among the oldest churches in Vienna. In 1701 it was pulled down and in the following 30 years it has been rebuilt by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt. The church is an adaption to the Petersdom in Rome. In the interior you can enjoy the rich baroque décor.
Pic 13: Our lunch.
After walking for about 2 hours in the city of Vienna, we bought lunch to eat in the car and travel back to Germany which take another 8 hours drive.
Pic 14: On the way back to Germany, we saw double rainbows but only manage to capture one because of the uneasy position in the car...
Pic 15: Sunset.
Pic 16: Sunset.
Pic 17: Sunset.
Pic 18: Spätzle can be considered as my favorate food here in Germany... Well, really praise the Lord for this dinner. It is at 10.40pm, at last we are home!!! Praise the Lord. Everyone is so hungry because we only had small bread at 1.30pm in Vienna, Austria that we bought before we travel back to Germany.
Michi called mama when we are on the way at 7pm so mama offered to cook dinner for us... For me, im just feeling like wow, an angle prepared food for me when im so hungry, really eating it with a thankful heart that ppl provide food for us... hahahaa....
Pic 1: But today when we go, the snow is not that much anymore... how i wish i could encounter some snows... Anyway, as u noticed that there is a black scene in the picture, this part of the jungle are burned down this year in April and last year, there are tornado that distroyed some parts of the jungle too....
Pic 2: Everyone gearing up to walk, even the young ones. There are train to take but we prefer to walk. It will take about 1 hour to get to another point in the jungle before we go up to the mountain.
Pic 3: As usual, our team walk and talk. They talk a lot, really a lot... they can even walk 2-3 minutes and stand and talk for 15mins... really can talk and talk and talk. That's why it is an easy and long walk coz its ever finish walking.
Pic 4: U will be surprise that there are so many doggies walking too, even climbing up to the mountain.... so it was a very interesting walk for me because i get to see so many doggies... hahahhaa. This is a black retriever.
Pic 5: Sitting and resting and playing all the time...
Pic 6: As u noticed, this part of the jungle are being distroyed by tornado last year.
Pic 7: The mountain that we are going to walk up soon.
Pic 8: This is the train that we can take to go up to the place before we start climbing the mountain from the beginning but we didn't take coz we want to walk.
Pic 9: Walking up...
Pic 10: Mount Tetra with snows on the top...
Pic 11: We are a bunch who represent the whole world coz we come from different part of the world. Some from Germany, Malaysia, Slovakia, Ukraine and UK.
Pic 12: Waterfall
Pic 13: Waterfall
Pic 14: After 1 hour ++, we can really see some top mountain of Mount Tetra, so nice...
Pic 15: Look at that...
Pic 16: Really very beautiful...
Pic 17: Yes! At last, after 2 hours of climbing, we reach our destination... Zamkovskeho at 1,475 meters above sea level.
Pic 18: At Zamkovskeho, we rested for a while, had a toilet break and had a Sneakers then we walk down again because those kids and their mother is waiting for us.
Pic 19: Walking down from the top. Dl and i took about 30mins to come down and we took about 2hrs to climb up...
Pic 1: During the journey to Spis Castle, we stopped to have toilet break and they talk and talk and talk....
Pic 2: Spis Castle is originally a royal castle started to be built in 12th century in Romanesque era. Since then, it has gone through various structural improvements, such as Gothic and Renaissance. It had been residency of several aristocratic families - Zapolsky, Thurzo and Csaky. It almost burned down in 1780, changing into rocky ruins. It belongs among the largest European castles. In 1993, the Spis Castle was included into The World Cultural Heritage List UNESCO.
Altitude: 634m above sea level
Extend: 4.15 hectar
Pic 3: Pic taken while we are waiting for the tour guide to bring us around and to explain the historical story about this castle. Well, the tour guide will speak slovak then Ps Robert will translate it into english and then dl will translate it in german.
Pic 4: Part of the wall of the castle.
Pic 5: Ps Robert translating what the tour guide said to English.
Pic 6: This is the tallest tower in the castle that can see the whole surrounding of the castle. It is for soldiers to standby there.
Pic 7: The tallest tower in the castle.
Pic 8: I'm waiting for the tour guide who bring us around the whole castle to explain the historical story in Slovak then Ps Robert to explain it in English.
Pic 9: Armour that weight 40kg.
After all the explaination by the tour guide, we can go up to the tallest tower in the castle to see.
Pic 10: View from the tallest tower. That is the city of Levoca.
Pic 11: View from the tallest tower. This is a big castle, 4.15 hectar.
Pic 12: View from the tallest tower.
Pic 13: From the top of the tower, they chit chat again. Siegfried is a very knowledgable man, he will always stop and explain and talk and he really talk a lot... hahaha, but it is good coz we can learn alot from him.
Pic 14: View from the tower again.
Actually walking around the whole castle following the tour guide only few of us, Siegfried, Ps Robert, Pavol, Marianna, dl and me, the rest with the kids are waiting outside coz those kids are too tired to walk around...
Well, after the satisfaction being at the top of the castle, we went down to look for the rest of them who did not follow.
Pic 15: This is another extra wall that they are building for a movie called The Last Empire i think.... so check it out next time...
Pic 16: Is the castle nice?? Can u see the tower? The tallest part from the castle is the tower that we went up...
Pic 17: Spis Castle of Levoca, Slovakia
Pic 18: The group that visited the Spis Castle, Annerose is holding the camera.
Pic 19: The new wall that they are building for the movie, The Last Empire.
Pic 20: Ps Robert, his wife Rachel, daughter Rebecca and son Daniel
It is really a crazy day because we walk and walk at the castle till we skip our lunch. By the time we finish walking the whole castle, it is 3.30pm and we have to drive for a while to another town for lunch/dinner but before we can get our meals, Annerose and me have to get a good pair of shoes for jungle trekking tmr... ohhhh... we choose our shoes very fast because we are hungry...
Pic 21: Our lunch/dinner at 6pm.
Pic 22: Our lunch/dinner at 6pm.
After dinner, we drive home and it was very late already, some more need to drive 2 hrs back home, everyone so tired and we need rest for the next day, going to climb mountain... heheheheeeee....
Pic 1: After breakfast, everyone help around in the kitchen to get things done faster.
Pic 2: Enjoying whatever we do... good isn't it... so that's why we have choice whether we want to enjoy, be happy and think positively or feeling bad and think negatively.
Pic 3: One chicken, one duck... i never understand what she is saying, she never understand what i'm saying... hehehe... but i got to learn some words from here like nose in german, etc.... hahhahaaa
Pic 4: The Methodist church that Ps Robert and Rachael is pastoring.
Pic 5: Waiting for one another outside the church, this is the place that we stay, in the church. The pastor and family are staying in the church too.
Pic 6: This is Ps Robert, Rebecca (5 yrs old), Rachael and Daniel (3 yrs old) [left to right]. We are walking to a Museum.
Pic 7: On the way, we saw a Greek Catholic church. 55% of Slovak ppl are catholic so according to Ps Robert, it is hard to evangelize to them coz they believe salvation by work not by faith.
Pic 8: Museum at Michalovce
Pic 9: This is a donation box in the museum, u can see some of the money there. Dakujem means thank you in Slovak. Dl and i learn a few words from the internet before we went to Slovakia but of course dl learn much more in Slovakia coz he is smart.... =)
Pic 10: This is the town in Michalovce. After the visit to the museum, we look for a place for lunch. It is going to be 1pm and we are late, suppose to follow Ps Robert to a gypsy's family to do bible study at 2pm.
Anyway, we had our lunch and we walk back to the church to get the cars to the gypsy's family at 2.30pm...
Pic 11: This is one of the gypsy family that Ps Robert is reaching out... they are very poor, gypsy's family are poor, well there are rich one as well, the rich are very rich, and the poor are very poor. This family that we visited had 4 children and her husband is in UK working there. Their house is not very small and they have a big garden but is quite run down and this is the kitchen, we sit around the table, not much furnitures and there are flies around us.
Gypsies are the one that Slovak ppl look down at because of some historical story. According to Ps Robert, it is hard to reach out to gypsies coz they will agree with us in whatever we say just to please us, but deep within, we really don't know whether they really believe or not. Ps Robert had a church for gypsies and the members always changed. When this group of gypsies are not happy with u, they will go to other church, and other church members from that church will go to your church instead because there are many groups among themselves as well. =) It is hard work, may God send revival to them.
Pic 12: Ps Robert sharing about the story of Isaac and Rebecca in the Bible, so there are 3 rebecca there... hehehee... talk about us as God's children need to be obedient, follow the teaching from the bible and sometimes God will send ppl to guide us, we need to obey as well... Then Ps Robert gave examples like sometimes the teenagers need to obey their parents if parents don't agree with the partner that they choose. Then Ps Robert asked me and dl to share how do we choose our partner, oooohhhh.... anyway, i share mine and dl share his on how we got confirmations to be together.
Pic 13: The other 2 daughters of this gypsy's family
Then we went to visit Ps Robert's outreach church to the gypsies... He had another pastor working together with him, she is Ps Svetlana, a very pretty lady... hehehee... she is a slovakian and she knows how to speak german... so she can communicate with dl and gang very well.
Pic 14: One of the meeting room
Pic 15: The worship team
Pic 16: The girl in the midst of us is Ps Svetlana, she is sharing some message from the Bible and it is in Slovak language, so no idea what they are talking about... kekekkee, unless Svetlana translate it to german and dl translate it to me. That day there ain't so many ppl coz all the gypsies went shopping, they got their salary... so a few ppl there only... heheheee
Pic 17: Dl and I playing with Rebecca and Daniel, they are very shy so need to make fun of ourselves to bridge to them.... Daniel and Rebecca was pulling grass outside the church so we use those grass and make into rings, necklace, crowns... hehehehee
Pic 18: Ps Robert swinging the kids and the rest looking. We are at the backyard of the gypsy's church... they have big place...
After some time of fellowshipping with their church members, we went back home to Ps Robert's church and we had our dinner... suppose to be bbq nite but end up cooking it in the kitchen coz its too windy...
Pic 19: Our windy dinner outside the church... heheheheee... ppl might think that it is a restaurant since so many of us eating. We have few church members with us and one of the couple is Pavol and Marianna, is one of Ps Robert's church member that dl and group knows coz they went to Germany to visit dl's church before i think... ahaha
Pic 20: Last pic for this blog... does it look delicious?? hahahahaaaa....
Pic 1: I had a whole room for myself, it cost a lot but God blessed us coz Siegfried help dl to pay half... otherwise dl will have to pay for his room with Michi and my whole room.
Pic 2: Our breakfast
Pic 3: Siegfried, Annerose and Marilyn sitting next to Annerose.
Pic 4: Look at this mountain, it is Mount Tatry, the famous mountain in Slovakia which we got to climb on Friday... There are snows on top of the mountain.... cool and cold... hahahaa. We are still on the way while we saw this mount... it's 10.30am
Pic 5: Then we went to Tesco for shopping... the things in Slovakia is much cheaper than in Germany coz of the exchange rate. 1 Euro to 37.5 Skk, so normal ppl will go shopping... heheheee... like Annerose... heheee
Pic 6: Then we stop at a restaurant to have our lunch at 1pm.
Pic 7: My meal
Pic 8: Dl's meal
Pic 9: An example of how slovakian drivers are... They drive like ppl in KL... hehhee, ya... just like us... but not like ppl in Germany so german ppl are shock at how they drive... heehee, they still haven't see how i drive yet... kekekekekee
We reach Michalovce at about 4pm. There i get to meet Ps Robert and his wife, Rachel and their 2 children, Rebecca and Daniel. Robert is a Slovakian and his wife, Rachel is from England so praise the Lord that i can communite with them very well coz they speak English and Slovak, not German... hhehheheee... Well, dl is the translator all the time. Annerose knows basic English. So dl will translate german to mandarin to me or translate english to german to Siegfried and Michi... hehehehehee
After we get our rooms in Ps Robert's house, we went out to walk in the town in Michalovce while Robert introducing to us about this country of Slovakia. We had ice cream as we walk, the ice cream there are very very cheap. heheheheh...
Then we had dinner at Ps Robert's house and chit chat with them there... no picture taken coz forgotten... hehehehe...
Pic 1: In front of Siegfried's house early morning at 6am, its very cold...
Actually this mission trip is so different from other mission trips that i went before. Other mission trips that i went require us to bless the ppl there like preaching to them, sharing to them.. but this mission trip is to send a big sum of money to bless one of the pastor there, Ps Robert who is taking care of a church. It is a church that Dl's church is supporting so we are here from Germany sending a love offering to them as well as visiting the pastor there and some church members... heheeheee....
Pic 2: Siegfried's car in front of our car, they are leading the way... Beautiful scenery
This mission trip to Slovakia needs 2 days drive... so our first day is only driving and driving and driving from 6am - 8pm. We will pass through Austria too to get to Slovakia.
At 7am, we stop by at a bakery shop to buy our breakfast and hop to the car to have our breakfast in the car. Silly me when into the bakery shop while dl and Siegfried chatting outside, wanting to help dl to save some money so i get the cheapest bread that i can find and bought 4 plain bread, heheheheee... well, its cheap but this plain bread are suppose to eat with ham or to put other fillings in it to eat, being a jakun, i dont know coz i hvn't tasted this plain bread before mahhhh, hehehehee.... so poor dl and i have to eat plain bread, 2 for him, 2 for me... kekekekee. Well for me, that plain bread is so nice, tasty coz im used to eat bread back in M'sia, my normal lunch will be bread... hahahahaaa
Pic 3: Later we had some more bread prepared by Michi for us... so good of him... he made a lot, i think there are more than 10 of this bread with tomato, cheese and eggs in it. So along the journey, they will take and eat... long long journey... and i sleep a lot as if i took sleeping pills like what dl said... hahahaha. Well, other than sleeping i am also reading the book, Heaven is so real. It makes my journey more exciting as i read this book.... Wow... anyway, haven't finish reading it yet.
Pic 4: Don't ask me what is this, i had no idea... its on the way so dl took the pic...
