Spis Castle at Levoca, Slovakia

This morning, everyone gear up to have breakfast at 8am, we help to prepare the breakfast and help to do the wash up together. At 9am, we started our journey to Levoca to visit one of the castle called Spis Castle. We need 2 hrs to drive there.

Pic 2: Spis Castle is originally a royal castle started to be built in 12th century in Romanesque era. Since then, it has gone through various structural improvements, such as Gothic and Renaissance. It had been residency of several aristocratic families - Zapolsky, Thurzo and Csaky. It almost burned down in 1780, changing into rocky ruins. It belongs among the largest European castles. In 1993, the Spis Castle was included into The World Cultural Heritage List UNESCO.

Extend: 4.15 hectar

After all the explaination by the tour guide, we can go up to the tallest tower in the castle to see.

Pic 13: From the top of the tower, they chit chat again. Siegfried is a very knowledgable man, he will always stop and explain and talk and he really talk a lot... hahaha, but it is good coz we can learn alot from him.

Actually walking around the whole castle following the tour guide only few of us, Siegfried, Ps Robert, Pavol, Marianna, dl and me, the rest with the kids are waiting outside coz those kids are too tired to walk around...

Well, after the satisfaction being at the top of the castle, we went down to look for the rest of them who did not follow.

It is really a crazy day because we walk and walk at the castle till we skip our lunch. By the time we finish walking the whole castle, it is 3.30pm and we have to drive for a while to another town for lunch/dinner but before we can get our meals, Annerose and me have to get a good pair of shoes for jungle trekking tmr... ohhhh... we choose our shoes very fast because we are hungry...

After dinner, we drive home and it was very late already, some more need to drive 2 hrs back home, everyone so tired and we need rest for the next day, going to climb mountain... heheheheeeee....
